In the most frequently used X.25 service, data is transmitted between two hosts
using the X.25 protocol through X.25 packet switching network. As shown in the
following figure, LAN 1 and LAN 2 are far apart, and the large and distributed
X.25 packet switching network can be used to realize information exchange
between them.
