Removing the MX2010 Extended EMI Cover
The extended electromagnetic interference (EMI) cover attaches to the router over the card cage and tilts
out from the top.
To remove the extended electromagnetic interference (EMI) card-cage cover (see
1. Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect the strap to
one of the ESD points on the chassis.
2. Gripping the flap on the extended EMI cover, tilt it away from the router toward you.
3. Holding the cover on both sides, lift so that the points on the cover lift out of the grooves on the EMI
cover brackets.
4. Pull the cover away from the router toward you to remove it.
5. Using a number 2 Phillips (+) screwdriver, remove the two mounting screws from the mounting brackets
on either side of the card cage. Then remove the mounting brackets (see
Figure 263 on page
506):

506).
