Network Outputs Activation

Control unit or SLC outputs activate when commanded on by operating instructions
contained in each networked control unit's event output control (EOC) program. The EOC
program for a particular control unit is triggered by any event that transitions it from the
Normal Mode to any of the event-driven, Off-Normal operating states discussed in
Paragraph 3-2.1. The control unit must be configured to selectively receive and respond
to the event as described Paragraph 3-3.8, or the network must be configured for global
operation.
