Possible Causes/Solutions
Instruct operator to position envelope top edge
against rear wall and slide it to right.
An error message should display if a cover is
open.
Dirty or defective sensor. Check sensor using
service diagnostics. If PS1, PS2 and PS3 all
fail service diagnostics tests, there may be a
problem with sensor junction board or harness
to J122. PS2 will always show as Clear on the
6C00 even though it does not have a PS2 sen-
sor on the board.
Check roller for wear or glazing.
Encoder disc, encoder sensor, wiring to J122
on Main Logic Board, poor connection at J122.
Test using service diagnostics. Also check har-
ness and connection at J115.
