SERVICE INFORMATION
'. GENERAL
• The lubrication system uses two oil pumps; main ilnd scavenging, The main pump sucks up oil from the crankcase and
delivers it under pressure to the bearings and other important parts of the engine. It is equipped with a pressure relief
valve. The scavenging pump draws oil from the rear cover and sends it to the primary drive chain to lubricate and cool it.
• The main pump can be serviced without removing the engine from the frame. To service the scavenging pump, it is necessary
to remove the engine from the frame.
