STARTER VALVE
Remove the starter arm collar and remove the
starter arm and spring by removing the nut.
Remove the starter valve.

Check the starter valve and valve seat for wear or
damage.
Check the valve spring for weak or damage.

Damage to the pilot .screw seQ!
will
occur if
the pilot screw
is
tightened against the
seal.
Remove the pilot screws and inspect them. Replace
them if they are worn or damaged.
CAUTION,
Turn each pilot screw in and carefully count the
number of turns before is seats lightly.
Make a note of this to use as a reference when
reinstalling the pilot screws.
