Using a piston, push the ring into the cylinder
squarely and measure the end gap.
SERViCE LIMITS:
Top/second: 0.60 mm (0.024 in)
Oil: 1.10
mm
(0.043
in)
If the
gap
exceeds the service limit, measure the
cylinder 1.0.
Replace the piston ring if the cylinder I.D. is within
specification.
Measure the piston 0.0. at a point 10 mrn (OA in)
from the bottom, and 90" to the piston pin bore.
SERViCE LIMIT: 75.35 mrn (2.967 in)
