Remove the left shock absorber lower mount bolt.
Remove the axle pinch bolt.
Raise the rear wheel with a block large enough that
the axle clears the muffler,
Remove the axle and move the caliper assembly
outward to allow removal of the rear wheel.
Remove the rear wheel.
NOTE:
Do not depress the brake pedal while the
wheel is off the motorcycle or it will be dif·
ficult to refit the brake caliper.
INSPECTION
I
nspect
the wheel as described in front wheel
section. _
• Axle inspection (Page 12-4).
• Wheel bearing inspection (Page 12A).
• Wheel rim runout inspection (Page 12·4).
OISASSEMBLY
Remove the brake disc and dust seal from the wheel
hub.
Remove the driven flange from the wheel hub.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage the wJ)eel hub.
NOTE:
I
The pins and nuts cannot be removed.
