Pinion Retainer Oil Seal Replacement; Case Bearing And Oil Seal Replacement - Honda Gold Wing GL1200D Shop Manual

FINAL DRIVE
PINION RETAINER OIL SEAL
REPLACEMENT
Remove the a·ring and oil seal from the pinion
retainer.
Coat a new O-ring with oil and install
it
onto the
retainer.
Drive a new oil seal into the retainer.
CASE BEARING AND OIL SEAL
REPLACEMENT
Heat the gear case to BOoe (176°FI. Tap the gear
case with a plastic hammer and remove the ring gear
and pinion bearings.
CAUTION:

Remove the ring gear

oil seal.
Drive a new oil seal into the case, using the special
tools.
