WHEEL/STEERING
Holder the steering stem to prevent
it
from falling.
Remo,e the steering adjustment nut and steering
stem.
BEARING INSPECTION
Check the upper and lower bearings and races for
wear or damage and replace if necessary.
BOTTOM BEARING REPLACEMENT
NOTE:
Always replace the bearing and race as a set.
Remove the bonom bearing with a hammer and a
drift.
NOTE:
Install the adjustment nut on the top end
of the steering stem to prevent damage to
the threads.
The bearing and dust seal will be damaged
during removal and
will
require replace-
ment.
