CRANKSHAFT/PISTON
BEARING INSTALLATION
Install the main bearings into the right engine case
and bearing caps.
CAUTION:
The beadng tabs should be aliglled with the
grQOl'ers in the case Qlld caps.
Install the crankpin bearings in the connecting rods
and bearing caps.
CAUTION:
The bearing tabs should be aliglled wilh the
groOl'es ill the rods and caps.

CRANKPIN BEARINGS
Install the ball bearing and washer on the end of
the crankshaft, and secure with the eifelip.
NOTE:
Seat the eifelip in the shaft groove with the
sharp end facing towards the rear of the
crankshaft.
Install the oil seal on the crankshaft.
Apply sealer to the oil seal and left case mating
faces of the right case.
Apply molybdenum disulfide grease to the crank-
shaft and inner faces of the bearings.
Lower the crankshaft and primary chain into posi-
tion in the right engine case.
