Before configuring PIM-SSM, complete the following task:

Before configuring PIM-SSM, prepare the following data:

The SSM model is implemented based on some subsets of PIM-SM. Therefore, a
router is PIM-SSM capable after you enable PIM-SM on it.
When deploying a PIM-SM domain, you are recommended to enable PIM-SM on
all interfaces of non-border routers (border routers are PIM-enabled routers
located on the boundary of BSR admin-scope regions).
