*1 Before adding the SPARC M12-2S, switch the mode switch on its OPNL to Service.
*2 If the XCP firmware version on the maintenance part is different from that on the existing system, the message
"XSCF firmware update now in progress. BB#xx, please wait for XSCF firmware update complete." appears at
login to the XSCF. Then, the XCP firmware version will be automatically matched. The version matching takes
time. Execute the showlogs monitor command, and check for the "XCP update has been completed" message. The
displayed message indicates the completion of the XCP firmware update.
*3 Also switch the mode switch on the OPNL of the added SPARC M12-2S to Locked.
*4 One CD-ROM disk containing a CPU Activation certificate is provided with the system. The CPU Activation
key ordered together with the SPARC M12-2S was registered with the system before shipment.
