5.2.6 Installing a CPU

This topic describes how to install a CPU.

● Only the personnel authorized by Huawei and Huawei technical support

● When E7 v2/v3 CPUs are configured, use HFCs whose BOM number is 03022JBN.
● When E7 v4 CPUs are configured, use HFCs whose BOM number is 03023URP.
● When replacing CPUs of different platforms, ensure that new CPUs are compatible with
other components of the server. For details, use the
Compatibility
Checker.
