Spare rear I/O module
Procedure
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves. For details, see
Step 2 Take the spare rear I/O module out of the ESD bag, and install all non-hot-
swappable PCIe cards of the required model on the rear I/O module.
Step 3 Insert the rear I/O module into the slot. See step (1) in
Step 4 Lower the ejector levers on the rear I/O module. See step (2) in
Issue 30 (2019-12-19)
The rear I/O module has failed.
A non-hot-swappable PCIe card on the rear I/O module has failed.
You have powered off the RH8100 V3. For details, see
RH8100
V3. Then you have removed all power cables from the server.
You have installed all non-hot-swappable PCIe cards on the rear I/O module
to be installed. For details, see
Card.
You have obtained the cabinet number and chassis number of the RH8100 V3.
You have located the RH8100 V3 based on the preceding information, and
labeled its panel to prevent misoperations.
You have determined the position on the RH8100 V3 for installing a rear I/O
module.
