● Only the active and standby HFCs in the same chassis can be exchanged. HFCs in
different chassis cannot be used to replace each other.
When the active and standby HFCs in the same chassis are exchanged in single-system
mode, the IP address of the management network port on the original active HFC is
cleared, the IP address of the original standby HFC becomes the default IP address
(192.168.2.100), and the user name and password of the active and standby HFCs are
restored to the default values (root/Huawei2#$). Other configurations are retained. In
two-node cluster mode, all the configurations are retained.
● Only one of the two HFCs in the chassis can be replaced. Do not replace both of the
HFCs at the same time or use HFCs in another chassis to replace them.
● A newly installed server or a server whose OS needs to be reinstalled (that is, the
original disk data does not need to be retained), the HFC replacement is not restricted
by the preceding rules.
● When E7 v2/v3 CPUs are configured, use HFCs whose BOM number is 03022JBN.
● When E7 v4 CPUs are configured, use HFCs whose BOM number is 03023URP.
● When replacing CPUs of different platforms, ensure that new CPUs are compatible with
other components of the server. For details, use the
