5.2.2 Installing a Compute Module

This topic describes how to install a compute module when you replace the
original one or replace the CPU on the compute module.

Before placing the compute module in an ESD bag, check that a CPU socket cover is
installed on a vacant CPU socket. For details about how to install a CPU cover, see
Removing a CPU.
A compute module has failed.
The CPU on a compute module has failed.
You have powered off the RH8100 V3. For details, see
RH8100 V3. Then you have removed all power cables from the server.
