Step 1 Press the left or right arrow on the keyboard to select the Main screen and modify
System Date and System Time to set the BIOS time, as shown in
Issue 30 (2019-12-19)
The server restart time depends on the number of dual in-line memory modules (DIMMs).
For example, a server with two 8 GB DIMMs takes about 6 minutes to restart whereas a
server with ninety-six 32 GB DIMMs takes about 45 minutes to restart.
● The default BIOS password is Huawei12#$ for the American keyboard, Huqzei&é34 for
the French keyboard, and Huawei12£$ for the English keyboard.
● The BIOS is locked after three consecutive login failures with wrong passwords. You can
click the
and then click Ctrl+Alt+Del on real-time desktop to unlock the BIOS.
● Clearing the CMOS will not forcibly restore the default BIOS password.
● After the BIOS is upgraded, the BIOS password is not forcibly restored to the default
one, but is the last specified one before the upgrade. (If you clear the BIOS password
before the upgrade, the BIOS has no password after the upgrade. If you change the
BIOS password before the upgrade, the BIOS password after the upgrade is the last
specified one.)
● The RH8100 V3 has two flash cards. Each flash card stores one BIOS image. When an
active/standby switchover occurs in the BIOS, the log "BIOS in Flash 1 boots failed!
Switch to BIOS in Flash 0" or "BIOS in Flash 0 boots failed! Switch to BIOS in Flash 1" is
displayed on the Run Logs page of iBMC.
