The media is not loaded correctly.
Raise the media loading lever and remove
the media. Then reload the media.
There is a problem with the media or the
print results; auto adjust cannot be done.
Adjust manually.
The scanning device may be
malfunctioning.
Contact Epson Support.
Manual adjustment is possible.
[XXXXX] is different from the winding
direction of the loaded roll media.
Set it to match the winding direction of the
loaded roll media.

What to do
Media was not correctly loaded when it was loaded. Refer to the following, and
load the media correctly.
"Loading media" on page 67

Pressing OK cancels the error.
When doing Auto execution of Print Adjustments, execution is not possible for the
following media, settings, and environment.
Media with an uneven surface
Media that bleeds-through easily
The printer is used in a place that is exposed to direct sunlight or interference
from other ambient light sources.
In these cases, execute the manual menu.

If the printer is exposed to interference from ambient light sources, shade the
printer from these sources and perform the function again; it may succeed. When
the function has failed after shading the printer, execute the manual menu.
If the above items do not apply, and the same error occurs again, contact your local
dealer or Epson service call center.
Shows the winding specifications that were set in XXXXX when loading media.
Does the Roll Winding Direction set when loading media match the actual
winding specifications?
Raise the media loading lever to resolve the error. Lower the media loading lever
again, and follow the on-screen instructions of the printer to reset the Roll
Winding Direction correctly.
The anti-drying caps are dirty and need to be cleaned. Follow the on-screen
instructions to check and clean the caps that need cleaning.

This message notifies you that it is time to replace replacement parts on the
printer.
Contact your dealer or Epson Support and tell them the maintenance request
code.
