Programming Procedures

Introduction

This chapter contains procedures for all of the advanced programming features
and options available on the System Programming menu, where each of the
procedures begins. It also contains summary information for all of the common
programming features described in detail in Chapter 3, "Common
Administrative Procedures. " Use one of the methods shown below to display the
System Programming menu.
At the console:
At the PC or with SPM: Type spm Press any key → [ F1 ] → [ F5 ]
Before you begin any of the procedures in this chapter, you should read and
understand all of the information presented in Chapter 1, "Programming
Basics. "
Basic Svstem Operating Conditions
The procedures in this section are all related to the system rather than to the
operation of telephones, operator positions, lines, or trunks. These are operating
conditions that must be set only once, when the system is new, or when you
reset the system defaults.
NOTE:
You must reset the system time when Daylight Savings Time begins and ends.
