11. At the sensor side, check for continuity between
A/F sensor (Sensor 1) 4P connector terminals No. 2
and No. 3, and between terminals No. 2 and No. 4
individually.

YES
NO −
12. Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
13. Disconnect ECM/PCM connector C (49P).
14. Check for continuity between ECM/PCM connector
terminal C9 and body ground.

Is there continuity?
YES
PCM (C9) and the A/F sensor (Sensor 1), then go to
step 24.
NO −
A/F SENSOR (SENSOR 1) 4P CONNECTOR

＋ B AFSHTC
Terminal side of male terminals

Go to step 23.
Go to step 12.
ECM/PCM CONNECTOR C (49P)
AFSHTC
Terminal side of female terminals
− Repair short in the wire between the ECM/
Go to step 15.
15. Check for continuity between A/F sensor (Sensor 1)
4P connector terminal No. 4 and ECM/PCM
connector terminal C9.
A/F SENSOR (SENSOR 1) 4P CONNECTOR
Wire side of female terminals AFSHTC (GRN)
ECM/PCM CONNECTOR C (49P) AFSHTC (GRN)
Terminal side of female terminals
Is there continuity?
YES − Go to step 16.
NO − Repair open in the wire between the ECM/
PCM (C9) and the A/F sensor (Sensor 1), then go to
step 24.
