Rear quarter panel window: Removal - Refitting

REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Remove:
- the rear quarter panel trim (see Quarter panel
trim: Removal - Refitting) (71A, Body internal
trim).
- the side frame (see Side section: Removal - Re-
fitting) (78A, Rear seat trim),
- the front door sill lining (see Front door sill lining:
Removal - Refitting) (71A, Body internal trim),
- the rear bench seat base (see Rear bench seat
base: Removal - Refitting) (76A, Rear seat
frames and runners),
- the rear panel trim (see Rear panel lining: Re-
moval - Refitting) (71A, Body internal trim),
- the B-pillar upper trim (see B-pillar upper trim:
Removal - Refitting) (71A, Body internal trim).
a Remove:
- the front side door seal partially (1) ,
- the body side trim (see 55A, Exterior protection,
Body side trim: Removal - Refitting, page 55A-
29) (55A, Exterior protection).
a Protect the area around the rear quarter panel win-
dow with masking tape.

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Cut the cement bead (see Technical Note 560A).
a Remove the rear quarter panel window.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Check the condition of the clips on the body side
trim, before refitting the rear quarter panel window.
a For preparation and bonding (see Technical Note
560A).
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Bond the rear quarter panel window.
a Adjust the clearance and for flush fitting.

III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- the body side trim (see 55A, Exterior protection,
- the front door seal (see Front side door seal: Re-

Note:
When removing and refitting the rear quarter
panel window, avoid cutting the indexing pin
which is used to correctly position the rear quar-
ter panel window.
