Sunroof fixed window: Removal - Refitting

REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a
Note:
If the sunroof fixed window is cracked:
- disconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal -
Refitting) (80A, Battery),
- remove the headlining (see H e a d l i n i n g :
Removal - Refitting) (71A, Body internal trim).

a Remove the sunroof bars (see 56A, Exterior equip-
ment, Roof bar: Removal - Refitting, page 56A-
12) .
a Remove:
- the sunroof side trim pieces (see 54A, Windows,
Sunroof side trim: Removal - Refitting, page
54A-30) ,
- the central seal.
a Protect:
- the area around the sunroof fixed window with
masking tape,
- the inside of the vehicle.
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Cut the cement bead (see Technical Note 560A)
(this operation requires two people).
a Remove the fixed window from the sunroof.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Always replace the positioning shims.
a For preparation and bonding (see Technical Note
560A).
a Position new positioning shims on the sunroof oper-
ating mechanism.
a Refit:
- the central seal,

- the sunroof side trim pieces (see 54A, Windows,

CONCERNED
a Bond the sunroof fixed window (this operation re-
quires two people).
Adhere to the clearances and flush fittings
a Adhere to the clearance of 8 mm between the sun-
roof fixed window (1) and the sunroof mobile panel
(2) .
a The sunroof fixed window (1) should be slightly low-
er than the mobile panel (2) .
a Arrange the lateral clearances so that they are
equal.
III - FINAL OPERATION

a Refit the opening roof bars (see 56A, Exterior
equipment, Roof bar: Removal - Refitting, page
56A-12) .
