Pull failed unit out of the frame. Remove the mounting brackets from the old
unit.

Secure the mounting brackets to the replacement unit.

While holding the replacement unit in place, start the available screws 0.5 inch
(P/N 601-0010-01) into the hole of the mounting bracket on either side of the
unit. Still supporting the unit, install two screws into the hole though the
bracket into the frame and tighten.

First attach the power cables. Then attach the logic ground. Be sure to attach
cables to the same locations they were attached to at the start of the procedure.
13.
Attach the ethernet cables to the same locations they were attached to at the
start of this procedure.
14.
If the unit has a power switch, switch it ON. Turn on the circuit breakers to
supply power to the unit.
15.
Using a VOM meter, check that there is adequate power (-48V) going to the
unit. Verify that the power LED on the unit is lit.
16.
If this procedure has been performed to replace console server or an Ethernet
switch, contact the Customer Care Center (see "Customer Assistance" on
page 1-7) to determine whether additional steps need to be performed.
17.
This procedure is complete.

How to Replace a Rectifier Module

In an Alternating Current (AC) environment, a rectifier is used to convert the AC
power of the environment to Direct Current (DC) power needed by the T1000 AS
unit. The rectifier contains two or more individual rectifier modules. The rectifier
modules are hot-swappable (one can be replaced without turning off power to the
entire rectifier). To replace an individual rectifier module, perform the following
procedure.
