Fiber connections

General
Alcatel-Lucent 1665 DMX uses AllWave ADVANTAGE™ Lightguide Jumpers, part of
Lucent's AllWave ADVANTAGE™ Optical Connectivity Solution (OCS). These jumpers
contain a boot angled at 40 degrees, allowing the jumpers to dress appropriately into the
fiber tray. The angled boot eliminates projection outside the front of the shelf assembly.
All fiber connectors should be cleaned and inspected before assembling into connector
ports. See

LC-type connections
LC-type fiber connectors use a snap-action, lever-tab locking method to join the fiber
connector to the port connector.
