Risk of injury when starting up the machine
If the machine has not been safely placed in operation, the machine or machine parts may
move unintentionally. As a result, people may be seriously injured or killed.
• Before starting up the machine, ensure that the following prerequisites are met:
– The hydraulic lines are connected.
– The compressed air brake is coupled (depending on equipment).
– The hydraulic brake is connected (depending on equipment).
– The universal shaft is coupled and secured.
– The lighting system is connected.
– The terminal is connected.
– The safety chain is attached (not stipulated in all countries).
– All safety equipment is in place, is proper condition, and in the protective position.
– The PTO speed of 540 rpm is not exceeded.
– The universal shaft prescribed by the manufacturer is used.
– The hoses, cables and ropes are laid so that they do not scrape, come under tension or
become jammed or come in contact with other parts (such as the tractor tyres).
– The parking brake is released.
– Machine parts of the tractor do not come into contact with parts of the machine (especially
when turning).
– There are no persons in the machine danger zone.
