Malfunctions - Causes and Remedies
Malfunction
Net is not transported
during starting process.
Net wraps around rubber
roller.
Net is not cut off neatly.
Net does not reach the
outside edges of the bale.
Tailgate cannot be
opened correctly.
The bale does not roll or
it just rolls slowly out of
the bale chamber.
Twine is not cut off.
Net is drawn in during
baling

Possible cause
The dimensions of the net are
incorrect.
The tension wheel is not pressed
against the V-belt or the
freewheel jams in the coupling
wheel.
Net rollers are not inserted
correctly in the collecting
mechanism and / or the roller
braking device is not set correctly.
Net has not been inserted
correctly in the wrapping device.
Impurities in front of the starter
rollers and on the starter rollers
may cause the net to slip through.
Channel is blocked with straw.
The tension roller of the V-belt is
not able to move downward far
enough.
Net is not hanging far enough in
the channel.
After an extended standstill time,
the net sticks on the rubber roller
Blade bar does not fall completely
down.
Dull blades
Net is not decelerated correctly
during wrapping process.
Net has got caught on the cutting
blades.
Starter rollers of film wrapping
device are bent.
Crop between spiral roller and
scraper
Net spreader does not work.
The scrapers of cutting roller and
conveyor roller are blocked.
Hydraulic hose is not inserted.
The sides are filled too strong or
the baling pressure is too high.
Net spreader is folded down.
The net hangs too far in the
channel.
Remedy
Just use net rollers with prescribed
dimensions.
Check setting motor or make freewheel
move smoothly. Remove any potentially
available soilings.
Insert net roll according to operating
instructions. Set roller brake.
Pull the net out of the film wrapping
device and reinsert it in accordance with
the operating instructions.
When the twine tying device has been
used for a longer period of time, remove
accumulations of dirt in the wrapping
mechanism.
Remove cutting blade and clean it.
Remove crop between guard support and
flat bar from the tensioning roller.
Loosen net brake.
When tying, always drive with a PTO
speed of 540 rpm.
After an extended standstill time, insert
net again.
Remove impurities.
Change blades
Check setting of braking device.
Check setting of cutting blades.
Check wrapping device and replace it, if
necessary.
Readjust scraper.
Rotate the net spreader.
Change once again the side in the swath
before the net is shot in.
Insert hydraulic hose into the appropriate
coupling.
Do not drive too far to the side.
Fold up net spreader.
Increase the tension on the spring for net
brake.
When tying, always drive with a PTO
speed of 540 rpm.
