Wi-Fi
broadcast traffic on the wireless network until the Wi-Fi radio is restarted. The default is 10
minutes.
1. Assign the Wi-Fi access point to a LAN interface or to a bridge. See
Configure a bridge
The access point must be assigned to an active LAN, or a bridge that is assigned to an active
LAN.
2. Save the configuration and apply the change:
(config)> save
Configuration saved.

3. Type exit to exit the Admin CLI.
Depending on your device configuration, you may be presented with an Access selection
menu. Type quit to disconnect from the device.

Configure a Wi-Fi access point with personal security

The WPA and WPA2 personal security modes allow a Wi-Fi access point to authenticate clients by
using a preshared key that the client enters when connecting to the access point.
By default, the TX54 device comes with either one or two preconfigured access points:
Single-Wi-Fi models: Digi AP (Wi-Fi).

Dual-Wi-Fi models: Digi AP (Wi-Fi) and Digi AP (Wi-Fi2).

You cannot delete default access points, but you can modify them or you can create your own access
points.
Required configuration items
Enable the Wi-Fi access point

Select a Wi-Fi radio for the access point.
n
The Service Set Identifier (SSID) for the access point.
n
Configure security for the access point to use personal security.
n
The password (preshared key) that clients will used to connect to the access point.

LAN/bridge assignment. Once you configure a Wi-Fi access point, you must assign the Wi-Fi

access point to a LAN interface or to a bridge. See

Additional configuration items
Determine whether to broadcast the access point's SSID.

Determine whether to isolate clients connected to this access point, so that they cannot

communicate with each other.
The amount of time to wait before changing the group key.
