2.7.9 LOW VOLTAGE POWER SUPPLY (LVPS) - PHASE II

Follow this procedure if the LVPS module for your projector is identical to what is outlined in this
section.
(35 minutes)
UV HAZARD: Wear authorized protective clothing whenever the lamp door is
opened.
1. Open the rear lamp door.
2. Remove top lid. Refer to
3. Remove exhaust panel skin. Refer to
4. Unlock the high security access lock and remove the 6 screws securing the high security cover.
Lift the lid and slide out.
5. Unclip the 4 harness clips securing the harnesses to the top of the cardcage.
6. Disconnect the power harnesses from the FFIB (i.e., J7, J8 and J9).
7. Disconnect the LVDS satellite board harnesses. NOTE: Carefully pull these harnesses straight up
and out to avoid bending/damaging the pins.
8. Disconnect the CDP power harness from the User I/O faceplate.
9. Remove the intake duct. Refer to
10. Use a #2 Phillips™ screwdriver to loosen the 2 thumbscrews on top of the cardcage.
11. Use a #1 Phillips™ screwdriver to remove the 6 hex screws from the front cardcage plate
(Figure 2-41).
12. Pull the cardcage out a few centimeters. Tighten 1 of the thumbscrews, loosened in Step 9 to
prevent the cardcage from sliding out.
