2.6.2 MAIN BLOWER ASSEMBLY

UV HAZARD: Wear authorized protective clothing when servicing the main blower
assembly. Always wear protective safety clothing and a face shield when performing
service with the safety shield removed.
The main blower assembly is located at the back of the projector beside the lamp adjust module.
(15 minutes)
1. Open the rear lamp door.
2. Remove top lid. Refer to
2-10.
3. Remove the safety shield. Refer to
Shield, on page
4. Disconnect the 2 lamp blower harnesses. Refer
to the Interconnection Drawing. When
disconnecting ensure the center tab on the
harness is pressed down before pulling out.
Improperly disconnecting could cause the actual
harness connectors to come loose. If this occurs
insert the connector on an angle, use a slotted
screwdriver to force the opposite edge into the
structure and manually push it into the center
structure (Figure 2-20).
5. Use a #2 Phillips™ to loosen the 2 captive screws on the top of the unit (Figure 2-19) and 1 on the
bottom near the lamp adjuster assembly (not shown).
6. Lift the assembly out of the projector housing.
7. To reinstall, reverse the above steps.
