8. Slide the interface PCB out by pulling on the quick release tabs.
9. Reverse the above steps to reinstall the PCM. NOTE: Ensure the harness clips are replaced.

2.7.3 INTERFACE BOARD

The interface board, located above the PCM, stores all the source, screen, MCGD and TCGD
information, and the projector's IP address. A software upgrade may be necessary when installing an
new interface board; therefore, backup all information before replacing the module and load it onto the
new board. NOTE: The IP address should never need to be set on a replacement board because the
PCM automatically resets it. If the PCM is unable to communicate with the interface board, then the
PCM sets the interface board's IP address using the serial connection. After the IP address is changed,
communication is established between the PCM and interface board.
(1 hour & 10 minutes; includes 15 minutes backing up and restoring data and 30 minutes
adjusting 5.1V and 3.35V rails)
1. Backup data.
a. Connect to the DLP Cinema Control Program (Figure 2-34) either through Ethernet or serial.
b. Click Login to bring up the Login Projector window. Login as Service.
