2.7.4 PROCESSOR BOARD

The processor board is located above the interface board in the cardcage. NOTE: It may be necessary
to upgrade software after a new board is installed. For details, refer to the DCP and CP Main
Software Upgrade Instruction Sheet (#020-100021-xx).
(1 hour; includes 30 minutes to adjust 5.1V and 3.35V rails)
1. Remove top lid. Refer to
2. Remove the 6 screws securing the high security cover, unlock the high security access lock, lift the
lid and slide out.
3. Unclip the harness clips securing the harnesses to the top of the cardcage.
4. Pull the cardcage module out a few centimeters and flip the top half of the face plate up.
5. Slide the processor board out by pulling on the quick release tabs.
6. Reverse the above steps to reinstall. NOTE: Ensure the harness clips are replaced.

2.7.5 FPGA FORMATTER INTERFACE BOARD (FFIB)

The FFIB is located in the top slot of the cardcage. It can be accessed from the top of the projector to
check the light engine cable connections, but otherwise it follows the same procedure as the other
PCBs in the cardcage. NOTE: It may be necessary to upgrade software after a new board is installed.

1. Remove top lid. Refer to
2. Remove the 6 screws securing the high security cover, unlock the high security access lock, lift the
lid and slide out.
3. Unclip the harness clips securing the harnesses to the top of the cardcage.
4. Disconnect the light engine harnesses. Refer to the Interconnect Drawing.
5. Flip up the top half of the faceplate.
6. Slide the FFIB out by pulling on the quick release tabs.
7. Reverse the above steps to reinstall.

2.7.6 MOTHERBOARD

The Motherboard is located at the back of the cardcage. The PCM, FFIB, interface and processor
boards all connect directly to the Motherboard.
