2.7.11 FANS

LIGHT ENGINE FANS - FAN 8

Use caution when working in and around fan assemblies. Fingers can get caught in fan
blades.
(20 minutes)
1. Remove top lid. Refer to
page
2-10.
2. Remove the 6 screws securing the high
security cover, unlock the high security
access lock, lift the lid and slide out.
3. Remove intake duct. Refer to
Duct, on page
4. Pull the cardcage out a few centimeters and
disconnect the fan harnesses from the
Motherboard.
5. Holding the fan from the bottom pull up on
the top to unmount the fan from the 4 rubber
isolators (Figure 2-49).
6. Reverse the above steps to reinstall the fan.
NOTE: Use needle nose pliers to pull the rubber isolators through the fan mounting holes.
