Section 5: Parts and Module Replacement

2.5.10 FRONT FACE SKIN

The front face skin is fastened to the projector housing by 2 tabs that interlock with the side skins, 1
screw that attaches to a standoff inside the housing and 5 screws from the bottom of the housing.
(30 minutes)
1. Remove top lid. Refer to
2-10.
2. Remove exhaust panel skin. Refer to
Exhaust Panel Skin, on page
skin must be removed in order to access the
security standoff screw securing the front face
skin to the projector base.
3. Use a #2 Phillips™ to remove the security
standoff screw, inside the housing.
4. Use a 4mm Allen™ key to remove the 5 socket
head capscrews along the bottom edge of the
skin (Figure 2-9).
5. Remove the 2 screws securing the cooling
reservoir to the front face support (Figure 2-9).
6. Use a #1 Phillips to remove the 6 screws
securing the lens boot (not shown).
7. Pull the skin forward and out.
8. Reverse the above steps to reinstall.

2.5.11 LAMP DOOR FRAME SKIN

The lamp door frame interlocks with the side skins.
This skin should never be removed unless it is
damaged and requires replacement.
(30 minutes)
1. Remove top lid. Refer to
2-10.
2. Remove the exhaust panel skin. Refer to
Exhaust Panel Skin, on page
3. Use a 4mm Allen™ key to remove the 5 socket
head capscrews along the bottom edge of the skin
(Figure 2-10).
4. Use a #2 Phillips™ to remove the security screw
on the right-bottom corner inside the unit.
