9. Use a #2 Phillips™ to remove the 8 screws from the cardcage faceplate to unsecure the top half.
NOTE: When reinstalling the 8 screws use a maximum of 1.5 in/lbs of force to avoid damaging the
screws.
10. Disconnect the 20 harnesses from the Motherboard. Refer to
11. Grip the faceplate handles and pull the entire cardcage out of the projector.
12. Reverse the above steps to reinstall the cardcage module. NOTE: Ensure the harness clips are
replaced.
NOTES: 1) When reconnecting the harnesses support the FFIB to prevent excessive flexing of the
board and potential damage to the PCB. 2) When installing the cardcage push the fan pack in to align
the tab with the PEM on the cardcage (Figure 2-33).

2.7.2 PROJECTOR CONTROL MODULE (PCM)

The PCM is located in the bottom slot of the cardcage. It is the only board attached to the bottom half
of the faceplate.

1. Remove top lid. Refer to
2. Remove the 6 screws securing the high security cover, unlock the high security access lock, lift the
lid and slide out.
3. Unclip the harness clips securing the harnesses (Figure 2-32).
4. Pull the cardcage out a few centimeters, being careful to apply force to the top edges of the handles
only. Failure to distribute force evenly across the top will bend the handles.
5. Remove the 2 nuts securing the BNC's to the faceplate (2x 9/16").
6. Remove the 6 standoffs (3/16") securing the DVI-D A, DVI-D B and the 'RS-232' B connectors to
the faceplate.
7. Remove the faceplate.
