Outlines and Features
Real Time Clock (RTC) continues counting time up with 32.768 kHz clock frequency. RTC is made up of 15-bit
PreCounter that generates one second interval, and 32-bit PostCounter that counts time every second. When Time
Counter meets Alarm-set time, RTC outputs an Alarm. The Alarm can be used for CPU interrupt.
Two RTC systems are embedded in this LSI.
List of RTC
RTC0 (power supply domain: PWD_PMU)
RTC1 (power supply domain: PWD_SYSIOP)
RTC0 is supplied with VDD_CORE of CXD5602, and after the reset release, it continues counting time. On the
other hand, RTC1 counts time only when PWD_SYSIOP is powered on. When the PWD_SYSIOP power supply
is turned off, the Time Counter returns to "0". As for power on/off setting of RTC0 and RTC1, refer to Chapter
3.4.
Time Synchronization
In this manual, copying Time Counter values between RTCs is referred to as Time Synchronization. RTC0 and
RTC1 can mutually synchronize Time Counter values. Time Counter values of a RTC IC outside CXD5602,
typically the CXD5247 PMIC, can be synchronized to RTC0 or RTC1.
