Debug Function
For debugging of each ADSP, Serial Wire Debug (two-wire protocol) can be used. It supports the following
functions.
Function Name
Description
Multi-Core-Debug
Embedded multi-core debug function is supported.
System-Debug
System debug function is supported. Without halting the ADSP, debug access to the memories is possible.
Debugger
AS Integrated Development Environment of Embedded multi-core,
YDC advice LUNA II (customized for CXD5602) environment can be used.
Arm
which can be debugged simultaneously is limited.)
FPB
Eight-breakpoint function is equipped including FPB (4K) in the configuration of Cortex
with FPU. FPB unit contains the following components:
・Two literal comparators
Two literal comparators for matching against literal loads from Code space, and remapping to a
corresponding area in System space.
・Six instruction comparators
Six instruction comparators for matching against instruction fetches from Code space, and remapping to a
corresponding area in System space. Alternatively, you can configure the comparators individually to
return a Breakpoint Instruction (BKPT) to the processor core on a match, to provide hardware breakpoint
capability.
DWT
Four-watchpoint function is supported including a reduced DWT (7K) to the configuration of Cortex
processor with FPU.
ITM
Instrumentation Trace Macrocell (ITM) function in Cortex
TRACE
Data tracing and software tracing functions using ITM/DWT features of Cortex
are supported. Clock synchronized signals are output from Tracedata.
AUTH
Debug I/F Authentication function is supported.
