12. Reconnect M C M connector A (31P).
13. T u r n the ignition switch ON (II).
14. Measure voltage between MPI m o d u l e 16P
connecter terminal No. 8 and body g r o u n d .

Wire side of f e m a l e t e r m i n a l s
is there 12 V battery voltage?
YES—Replace the MPI m o d u l e (see page 12-144),
then go to step 30.
N O — G o t o step 15.
15. Measure voltage between M C M relay 2 4P
connecter terminal No. 1 and body g r o u n d .

Is there battery voltage?
Y E S — R e p a i r open in the w i r e between M C M relay
2 and the MPI m o d u l e , then go to step 24.
N O — G o t o step 16.
16. Check M C M relay 2 (see page 22-72).
Is the relay OK ?
Y E S — G o t o step 17.
NO—Replace M C M relay 2, then go to step 24.
17. Measure voltage between M C M relay 2 4P
connecter t e r m i n a l No. 2 and body g r o u n d .

Is there 12 V battery voltage?
Y E S — G o t o step 19.
N O — G o t o step 18.
18. Check t h e + B IMA (10 A) fuse.
Is the fuse OK ?
Y E S -
• Replace t h e + B I M A (10 A) fuse
• Repair open in the w i r e the + B IMA (10 A) fuse
and ignition hold relay 2.
• Repair open in the w i r e the + B IMA (10 A) fuse
and the OPTION (40 A) fuse.
• Repair open in the w i r e the 12 V battery and the
OPTION (40 A) fuse.
NO—Repair open in the w i r e between M C M relay 2
and the + B IMA (10 A). Also replace the + B IMA
(10 A) fuse, OPTION (40 A) fuse, then go to step 24.
19. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
