30. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
3 1 . Reset the M C M (see page 12-6).
32. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Are DTCs
P0A5E,
P0AG1, and P0A64 indicated
at
the same
time?
Y E S — G o t o step 33.
NO—Replace the V phase m o t o r current sensor
(see page 12-143), then go to step 4 1 .
33. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
34. Disconnect the W phase m o t o r current sensor 3P
connector.
35. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
36. Reset the MCM (see page 12-6).
37. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Are DTCs
P0A5E,
P0A61,
and P0A64 indicated
at
the same time ?
Y E S — G o t o step 38.
NO—Replace the W phase m o t o r current sensor
(see page 12-143), then go to step 4 1 .
38. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
39. Disconnect M C M connector A (31P).
40. Check for continuity between U/V/W phase motor
current sensor 3P connectors terminal No. 1 and
body ground individually.

Is there
continuity?
YES—Repair short in the w i r e between the U/V/W
phase motor current sensor and the M C M (A16,
A17, or A18), then go to step 4 1 .
NO — G o to step 46.
41. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
42. Reconnect all connectors.
43. Reinstall the IPU lid (see page 12-140), then turn the
battery m o d u l e switch ON (see page 12-4).
44. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
45. Reset the M C M (see page 12-6).
46. Check for T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Are any Temporary
DTCs
or DTCs
indicated?
YES—If DTC P0A5E is indicated, check for poor
connections or loose t e r m i n a l s at the U phase
motor current sensor and the M C M , then go to
step 1. If any other T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs are
indicated, go to the indicated D T C s
troubleshooting.
NO—Troubleshooting is complete. •
47. Reinstall the IPU lid (see page 12-140), then turn the
battery module switch ON (see page 12-4).
48. Update the M C M if it does not have the latest
software, or substitute a k n o w n - g o o d M C M
(see page 12-8).
49. Check for T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Are any Temporary
DTCs
or DTCs
indicated?
YES—If DTC P0A5E is indicated, check for poor
connections or loose terminals at the U phase
motor current sensor and the M C M , then go to
step 1. If any other T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs are
indicated, go to the indicated D T C s
t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g .
NO —If the M C M was updated, t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g is
complete. If the M C M was substituted, replace the
original M C M (see page 1 2 - 8 ) . •
