DTC Troubleshooting (cont'd)
18. Measure voltage between PCM connector terminal
A4 and body g r o u n d .

Wire side of f e m a l e t e r m i n a l s
Is there battery voltage?
Y E S — R e p a i r short to power in the w i r e between
the PCM (A4) and PGM-FI m a i n relay 1 (Fl MAIN),
t h e n go to step 20.
NO—Go to step 19.
19. Replace PGM-FI main relay 1 (Fl MAIN) (A).
20. Reconnect all connectors.
2 1 . Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
22. Reset the PCM w i t h the HDS.
23. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
24. Wait 10 seconds.
25. Do the PCM idle learn procedure (see page 11-340).
26. Check for T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated?
Y E S — I f DTC P0563 is indicated, check for poor
connections or loose t e r m i n a l s at PGM-FI main
relay 1 (Fl MAIN) and the PCM, then go to step 1. If
any other T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs are indicated,
go to the indicated D T C s t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g .
NO—Troubleshooting is complete. •
27. Update the PCM if it does not have the latest
software, or substitute a k n o w n - g o o d PCM
(see page 11-6).
28. Check for T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs w i t h the HDS.
Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated?
Y E S — I f DTC P0563 is indicated, check for poor
connections or loose t e r m i n a l s at PGM-FI main
relay 1 (Fl MAIN) and the PCM, then go to step 1. If
any other T e m p o r a r y DTCs or DTCs are indicated,
go to the indicated D T C s t r o u b l e s h o o t i n g .
NO—If the PCM was updated, troubleshooting is
complete. If the PCM w a s substituted, replace the
original PCM (see page 11-219). •
