12. Check the No. 18 ACG (15 A) fuse in under-dash
fuse/relay box.
Is the fuse blown?
Y E S -
• Repair short in the w i r e between the idle stop
switch and the No. 18 ACG (15 A) fuse. Also
replace the No. 18 ACG (15 A) fuse.
• Repair short in the w i r e between the PCM (E9)
and the idle brake switch. Also replace the No.
ACG (15 A) f u s e . B

13. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
14. Measure voltage between idle stop switch 2P
connector terminal No. 1 and body g r o u n d .

15. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
16. Check for continuity between PCM connector
terminal E9 and idle stop switch 2P connector
terminal No. 2.

Is there continuity?
Y E S — U p d a t e the PCM if it does not have the latest
software, or substitute a known-good PCM
(see page 11-6), then recheck. If the s y m p t o m /
indication goes away w i t h a known-good PCM,
replace the original PCM (see page 11-219). B
NO—Repair open in the w i r e between the PCM (E9)
and the idle stop switch, fl
Is there battery voltage?
Y E S — G o t o step 15.
