37. Reconnect the ignition coil 3P connector and PCM
connector A (31P).
38. Do an engine compression and a cylinder leakdown
test.
Did the engine pass both tests?
Y E S — G o t o step 39.
NO—Repair the engine, then go to step 55.
39. Do the VTEC rocker arm test (see page 6-8).
Did the engine pass the test?
Y E S — G o t o step 40.
NO—Repair the VTEC rocker a r m , then go to step
55.
40. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
4 1 . J u m p the SCS line w i t h the HDS.
42. Disconnect PCM connector A (31P).
43. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
44. Measure voltage between body g r o u n d and the
appropriate PCM connector terminal (see table).

Y E S — G o t o step 54.
N O — G o t o step 45.
45. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
46. Remove the intake m a n i f o l d (see page 9-3).
47. Disconnect the injector 2P connector f r o m the
p r o b l e m cylinder.
48. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
49. Measure voltage between injector 2P connector
terminal No. 2 and body g r o u n d .

Is there battery voltage?
Y E S — G o t o step 50.
NO—Repair open in the w i r e between the injector
and PGM-FI main relay 1 (Fl MAIN), then go to step
