38. Install the oil pan (see page 7-29).
39. Install the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor
(see page 11-216).
40. Install the cylinder heads (see page 6-60).
4 1 . Install the IMA motor housing (see page 12-153).
42. Install the engine assembly (see page 5-11).
NOTE: W h e n any crankshaft or connecting rod
bearing is replaced, after assembly it is necessary
to run the engine at idling speed until it reaches
normal operating temperature, then continue to
run it for about 15 minutes.
1. Remove all of the old liquid gasket f r o m the oil pan
mating surfaces, bolts, and bolt holes.
2. Clean and dry the oil pan mating surfaces.
3. A p p l y liquid gasket, P/N 08717-0004, 08718-0001,
08718-0003, or 08718-0009, evenly to the oil pan
mating surface of the engine block.
NOTE: Do not install the parts if 4 minutes or m o r e
have elapsed since applying liquid gasket. Instead,
reapply liquid gasket after r e m o v i n g the old
residue.

4. Install the oil pan on the engine block.
