During Cylinder Pause Mode (intake valve side)
The VTEC spool valve switches oil pressure. Oil pressure then enters primary rocker a r m B f r o m the oil passage in the
intake rocker shaft. This forces the VTEC switching piston into p r i m a r y rocker a r m A against the return spring and
disengages the primary rocker arms f r o m the secondary a r m to stop valve actuation. The secondary rocker arm uses a
lost m o t i o n spring to maintain t e n s i o n .
