MANUAL TRANSAXLE (C56)
Using a screwdriver. remove the oil seal.
(b)
Using SST and a hammer, drive in a new oil seal.
(c)
SST
Drive In depth: 15.8 ± 0.2 mm (0.622
Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.
(d)
Using SST and a press, install a new input shaft front

bearing.
SST
Drive in depth: 0 - 0.3 mm ( 0 - 0.012 in.)
NOTICE:
Be sure to install a new bearing in the correct direction, as
shown i n the Illustration.

IF NECESSARY, REPLACE OUTPUT SHAFT FRONT

BEARING AND OUTPUT SHAFT COVER
Remove the bolt and bearing lock plate.
(a)
Using SST, pull out the output shaft front bearing.
(b)
SST
Remove the output shaft cover.
(c)
( d) Install the output shaft cover.
NOTICE:
Install the output shaft cover projection into the case side
hollow.
