TILT STEERING COLUMN

CONNECT NO. 2 INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

Align the match marks on the No. 2 intermediate shaft as­
(a)
sembly and intermediate extension.
Install the bolt B.
(b)
Torque: 35 N-m (360 kQI·cm, 26 H-lbf)
Torque the bolt A.
(c)
Torque: 35 N-m (360 kgf . cm, 26 H·lbf)
INSTALL COLUMN HOLE COVER SILENCER SHEET

8. AfT:
INSTALL KEY INTERLOCK CABLE
With the key in ACC, push into the key interlock cable and install
it.
INSTALL LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH AND HEADLIGHT

DIMMER SWITCH, WIPER AND WASHER SWITCH
AND SPIRAL CABLE
Instal! the spiral cable.
(a)
Push into the light control switch and headlight dimmer
(b)
switch until the claw is latched.
Employ the same manner described above to the wiper
(c)
and washer switch.
Connect the alrbag connector to the spiral cable.
(d)
Connect the 3 connectors to the spiral cable, light control
(e )
switch and headlight dimmer switch and wiper and wash­
er switch.
10. INSTALL COLUMN UPPER AND LOWER COVERS
Install the column upper and lower covers with the 3 screws.
11. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
Install the instrument cluster finish panel with the 2 screws.
12. INSTALL INSTRUMENT FINISH PANEL
Install the instrument finish panel with the 2 bolts.
13. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT FINISH PANEL
Connect the connector .

(b) Install the lower No. 1 instrument finish panel with the 2
bolts.
Connect the hood lock release lever and instal! the 2
(c)
screws.
