Install the control shift lever with the nut
(d)
Torque: 1 3 N·m (130 kgf·cm, 9 1t·lbl)
Connect the shift control cable to the control shaft

Torque: 1 2 N·m (120 kgf·cm, 9 ft·lbl)
5. CONNECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH CON-
NECTOR
CHECK PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION OPERATION

Check that the engine can be started with the shift lever only in
the N or position, but not in other position.

If the engine can not be stated not as started above, carry out
the adjustment procedure (See page Dl-220).
