RADIATOR CAP/SYSTEM PRESSURE

RADIATOR CAP RELIEF PRESSURE:
108 - 137 kPa (1.1 - 1.4 kgf/cm2, 16 - 20 psi)
Pressurize the radiator, engine and hoses using the
tester, and check fo r leaks.
NOTICE
Excessive pressure can dam age the cooling system
co m p o n e n ts. Do n o t e xceed 137 kPa (1.4 k g f/c m 2,
20 psi).
Repair o r replace com ponents if the system w ill not
hold the specified pressure fo r at least 6 seconds.
Remove the tester and install the radiator cap.

COOLANT REPLACEMENT

PREPARATION
NOTE:
The effectiveness o f coolant decreases w ith the
accum ulation o f rust o r if there is a change in the
m ixing proportion d u rin g usage. Therefore, fo r best
perform ance change the coolant regularly as speci­
fied in the m aintenance schedule.
M ix only distilled, lo w m ineral w ater w ith the rec­
om m ended antifreeze.
RECOMMENDED ANTIFREEZE:
Pro Honda HP coolant or equivalent high quality
ethylene glycol antifreeze containing corrosion
protection inhibitors
RECOMMENDED MIXTURE:
1:1 (mixture w ith distilled water)
REPLACEMENT/AIR BLEEDING
NOTE:
W hen fillin g the system o r reserve tank w ith coo l­
ant, o r checking the coolant level, hold the m o to rcy­
cle in an upright position.
