Clean the mating surfaces of the right crankcase and
cover.
Coat new O-rings with engine oil.
Install the dowel pins and O-rings.
NOTE:
• The dowel pins with O-rings have tw o purposes;
to fix the position of the right crankcase cover
and to act as oil passages.
• Be careful not to pinch the O-rings between the
right crankcase and the cover.
Apply liquid sealant (Three Bond 1207B or equiva­
lent) to the right crankcase cover mating surface.
Install the right crankcase cover.
Install the clamps and bolts then tighten the bolts in
a crisscross pattern in several steps.
