INSPECTION
Connect an ohmmeter to the o I level switch term i­
nals.
Measure the resistance through the sensor as fo l­
low.
- Close contact point:
Set the oil level switch w ith same direction of the
oil level switch installed.
- Open contact point:
Set the oil level switch with same direction of the
oil level switch installed and soak the float in a
pan o f oil.
STANDARD:
Close contact point:0 - 0.01 kil
Open contact point:1.5 - 1.7 k£2
If the resistance is out of range, replace the oil level
switch.
INSTALLATION
Coat a new O-ring w ith engine oil and install it to
the oil level switch.
Install the oil level switch and tighten the bolts
securely.
Connect the oil level switch connectors (Pink/blue
and Yellow/red wires).
Install the right step bracket (page 17-46).

check that there are no oil leaks.
